Two scholarships valued at $40,000 annually will support incoming students at the Merle-Smith Campus beginning Fall 2026.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - PennZone -- Moravian Academy has announced a new Impact Scholarship that will award two incoming Upper School students full tuition to attend the school's Merle-Smith Campus (grades 9-12) beginning in the 2026–27 academic year.

Valued at approximately $40,000 per student annually, the scholarship is designed to attract high-achieving students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential and a desire to contribute meaningfully to their school community.

At a time when families are increasingly focused on preparing students for a competitive and costly college landscape, scholarships like this can play an important role in expanding access to rigorous college-preparatory education. Programs that emphasize leadership, critical thinking and real-world engagement are increasingly seen as essential preparation for success in college and beyond.

"We know that today's students are eager to engage with the big issues shaping their future," said Adrianne Finley Odell, Head of School at Moravian Academy. "The Impact Scholarship allows us to welcome students who are ready to lead, collaborate and contribute to a community that values curiosity, innovation and thoughtful leadership."

The scholarship initiative is intended to support students who will make an impact in ways to advance Moravian Academy, whether in the arts, athletics or the Academy's new Center for Civic Leadership & Innovation, a new program focused on preparing students to navigate complex global challenges while developing leadership and critical thinking skills.

"We are excited to meet students who are eager to challenge themselves and contribute to a vibrant Upper School community," said Ingrid Gerber, Director of Admissions for Moravian Academy's Merle-Smith Campus. "The Impact Scholarship helps us welcome Upper School students who demonstrate academic excellence while also bringing curiosity, creativity and a desire to make a positive impact."

Applicants must demonstrate an exemplary academic record and maintain strong academic and behavioral standing for renewal each year. Scholarship recipients are expected to embody the qualities of an inclusive global citizen who thinks critically, communicates effectively, leads with integrity and strives for excellence.

Although the scholarship is open to all new applicants who complete the admissions process, priority consideration will be given to students entering ninth grade.

In addition to the Impact Scholarship, Moravian Academy is offering a $500 referral award to any family who refers a student who goes on to enroll in the upper school, regardless of whether that student receives a scholarship or merit award.
