The April 9 food drive collected items for New Bethany Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to hunger and homelessness services.

FOGLESVILLE, Pa. - PennZone -- On April 9, 2026, Client 1st Financial, a Lehigh Valley-based independent financial advisory firm, partnered with Keystone Financial Management to host a food drive at New Bethany Inc., which provides hunger and homelessness services. Together, the financial firms collected food donations from community members and delivered them to the nonprofit.

"At Client 1st Financial, we believe it's important to show up for our community, not just in words, but through action," said Michael Fischer, president and CEO of Client 1st Financial. "This food drive was an opportunity for our team, our partners, and our clients to make a meaningful impact together."

Together, Client 1st Financial and Keystone Financial Management donated over 550 pounds of food, including canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, and other nonperishable food items, to stock New Bethany's Choice Food Pantry.

In addition to food donations, the Osaic Foundation, a private nonprofit that supports financial professionals, donated $2,500 to New Bethany.

Throughout the week, the two financial firms collected food at their offices. During the food drive, volunteers loaded the canned goods and nonperishables into New Bethany's van, which transported them to their Choice Food Pantry.

"This kind of community support makes a significant difference in our ability to serve individuals and families experiencing food insecurity," said Crystal Williams, development director at New Bethany. "It's a powerful example of what can happen when local organizations come together for a shared purpose."

Client 1st Financial and New Bethany have partnered for years. As the former President of New Bethany's board of directors, Fischer has a deep-rooted understanding of the importance of New Bethany's services for the community. Last year, Client 1st Financial donated $35,000 to New Bethany through a Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) grant to support the nonprofit's Economic Resilience Project.
