This recognition places Dunbar among an elite group of collegiate wrestlers nationwide who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to both their sport and their studies.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - PennZone -- Aurelius Dunbar, a native of Greencastle, PA, has been named a NWCA NCAA Division I Scholar All-American for the 2025–2026 season -- an elite honor recognizing outstanding achievement in both academics and collegiate wrestling.

The distinction, awarded by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), celebrates student-athletes who demonstrate excellence not only on the mat, but in the classroom -- an accomplishment that requires discipline, resilience, and unwavering focus.

For Dunbar, the recognition reflects a journey defined by determination and balance.

"Balancing academics and athletics at this level wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it was something that I took pride in," said Dunbar. "I'm thankful for the people around me who challenged me as well as supported me every day."
