PITTSBURGH - PennZone -- As demand for faster, more reliable delivery continues to rise, LATO AI is setting the standard for software innovation in the trucking industry, with AI-driven systems to improve everything from driver onboarding to fleet management.
It began with a challenge from Maybach Group, Chicago's number one trucking company offering logistics services across the United States. Despite the company's success, they faced what many in the trucking industry deal with: inefficient operations hampered by manual processes, disconnected systems and a dearth of scalable technology that could be tailored to their needs.
Providing fully customized, AI-powered automation systems and boutique-level attention, LATO AI develops software that improves operations and workflow for companies across the transportation, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, distributing and e-commerce sectors.
"Our team was confident we could implement AI-powered systems to replace Maybach's time-intensive processes with simple, intuitive measures that make life easier for truckers and improve the company's bottom line," said Michael Reynolds, CEO and founding co-partner of LATO AI.

LATO AI keyed in on three areas where AI technologies could have the greatest impact:
- Driver recruitment: In-person paper testing and manual reviews of candidates caused recruitment bottlenecks. LATO AI streamlined the system, allowing for remote testing and instant feedback and confirmation, reducing operational costs by 85%.
- Driver operations: Complex paper-based documents caused confusion for drivers, resulting in delays and errors. LATO AI took the system online, with a streamlined program for legal forms and an AI-powered chatbot to instantly respond to questions and provide feedback in multiple languages, resulting in an 85% cost savings and 90% improved efficiency.
- Fleet management: Inspections and fuel billing relied on several manual processes, leading to delays and inconsistent reporting. LATO AI's customized software created a central system for check-ins, check-outs and inspections, reducing fuel discrepancies by 95% and time spent on manual calculations by 80%.

"LATO's software innovations have fast-tracked hiring of qualified drivers, eliminated burdensome paperwork and smoothed our fleet management processes," said Nash Balac, Maybach's COO.
"With dramatic improvements in cost savings, utility and scalability, LATO AI's work demonstrates what's possible when innovation meets real-world challenges," said Dan Zabokrytskyi, COO and founding co-partner of LATO AI.
