NASHUA, N.H. - PennZone -- Heartfelt Dreams Foundation Launches Campaign to Build CHD Hospital
Nonprofit dedicated to improving congenital heart defect treatment and education is honored to receive message of support from Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys
Heartfelt Dreams Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the treatment experience for congenital heart defect (CHD) patients and their families, is proud to announce a fundraising campaign to further its charitable mission including plans to build the Heartfelt Dreams Hospital and CHD Research Center. Heartfelt Dreams Foundation having received a message of support from Brian Littrell of Backstreet Boys' fame will endeavor to raise awareness for the emotional and financial challenges faced by CHD patients.
Brian Littrell, a member of Backstreet Boys, is a survivor of CHD. He was born with a congenital heart defect called ventricular septal defect. Brian's congenital heart defect made him more susceptible to infections. At age 5 he spent 2 months in the hospital due to a bacterial infection and was not expected to live. In his twenties he underwent open-heart surgery at the height of his career with Backstreet Boys to repair his ventricular septal defect. He is a walking miracle like so many CHD patients.

"We are thrilled to receive a message of support from the extremely talented Brian Littrell. In keeping with Brian's efforts on behalf of CHD patients, Heartfelt Dreams Foundation needs help to continue to bring awareness to congenital heart defects and to help patients with CHD receive the specialized care and treatment they deserve," said Eric Ankerud, CEO, President, and Co-Founder of Heartfelt Dreams Foundation. "Congenital heart defects are complex, life-long medical conditions, and our goal is to ensure that patients have access to proper diagnosis, care and treatment. A cure for CHD may be found only through genetic research and we plan to be a part of this ongoing effort through the Heartfelt Dreams Hospital and CHD Research Center. Every person born with CHD should have access to expert care and support, regardless of their financial means."
This nationwide multi-million dollar fundraising initiative will provide an opportunity for medical product companies, capital investors, philanthropists and others who believe in finding a cure for the number one birth defect in the US to participate in sustaining the mission of Heartfelt Dreams Foundation. The Heartfelt Dreams Hospital and Research Center will be a place where treatment and discovery go hand-in-hand — and where no patient ever receives a bill.
