Bob Rowland Retires After 19 Years as the Organization Announces New Leadership Team and Technology Investment

PITTSBURGH - PennZone -- PITTSBURGH, PA, — Grane Rx, a leading pharmacy provider to Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and long-term care communities, today announced that Scott Sosso has been named President. Sosso succeeds Bob Rowland, who is retiring on June 30, 2026 after 19 years with the company and 43 years in healthcare. Rowland will remain with the organization in a senior advisory capacity.

Under Rowland's leadership, Grane Rx grew into a national pharmacy partner for PACE organizations and long-term care providers, building a service model designed around the needs of seniors and the interdisciplinary care teams who serve them. The company delivers millions of prescriptions each year across skilled nursing, assisted living, PACE, hospice, and group home settings.

"What I am most proud of is the transformation of Grane Rx into a national pharmacy partner for PACE programs, and a team that delivered real outcomes for the participants we serve," said Rowland. "I am leaving the company in exceptional hands."

Sosso has spent the past 18 years with Grane Rx and its affiliated organizations, most recently as Senior Vice President of Business Development, with additional roles spanning Senior LIFE, Apex Rehab Solutions, and real estate acquisitions. Under his leadership, Grane Rx will continue to invest in artificial intelligence-driven pharmacy technology and new service lines aimed at improving medication adherence, strengthening care coordination, and advancing outcomes for PACE participants and long-term care residents.

"PACE represents the best of what senior care can be, and the participants in these programs deserve a pharmacy partner that is reliable, clinically excellent, and fully invested in their outcomes," said Sosso. "Protecting that standard is not negotiable, and we intend to keep earning the trust of the PACE organizations and long-term care providers who count on us."
