Albin Oldner Law announced that "D Magazine" has recognized senior partner and former Judge Chris Oldner as Best Lawyer for 2026.

FRISCO, Texas - PennZone -- his is the sixth consecutive year that Chris has received this award. The award from "D Magazine" honors top attorneys in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is selected by peers.

Chris excels as an experienced attorney and mediator in the Dallas area. He leads the firm's family law practice, focusing on complex, high-asset divorce, high-asset estate enforcement, and alternative dispute resolution. Chris spent 17 years as a former judge in the Collin County District Court, hearing family, civil, and criminal law cases. Upon retiring from the bench in 2016, he continued to use his experience to help clients with all family law matters.

Chris joined the firm in 2020. Since that time, Chris has used his expertise to lead the company's family law attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. He has helped countless families navigate delicate issues when it mattered most. As a former judge, Chris knows the courtrooms inside and out, and provides unparalleled wisdom to the staff at Albin Oldner Law.

As one of only two lawyers in Collin County who is double-board certified in family law and criminal law, Chris is also a member of the Board of Governors of the American Judges Association and a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow.

He has served as the co-chair of the Judicial Disproportionality Workgroup for the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Commission for Children, Youth and Families' Court Improvement Project. Chris is also a member of the Texas Center for the Judiciary's Children's Justice Act Task Force.

Chris' hard work and dedication to his field earned him the Mari Kai Bickett Judicial Excellence Through Education Award and the Exemplary Judicial Faculty Award from the Texas Center for the Judiciary. He has also been named a Super Lawyer since 2019.
