Harrisburg's newest restaurant, Eleve, sells out entire inventory during Grand Opening

The restaurant boasted an impressive 180 orders for more than 300 people over its three-day opening

HARRISBURG, Pa. - PennZone -- Harrisburg's newest restaurant, Eleve, located on the corner of Sixth and Reilly Streets, boasted a grand opening which sold out its entire inventory during its recent Grand Opening.

Co-owners Tiffiney Portee (of Harrisburg) and Tina Davis Hunter (of Johnstown, PA) have prepared for this opening for several months, but even they were completely surprised at the turnout.

"We were hoping people would come, but never imagined more than 300 would show up," said Portee.

"It truly was a phenomenal experience," Tina Davis Hunter said.

The event did not come without its hiccups: the overwhelming response caused a backlog in the kitchen; however, several family members and close friends stepped up at the last minute. As its Facebook page puts it:

Managers became servers. Family members became food runners. Everyone jumped in wherever they were needed. At one point, our staff were each serving 7 to 8 tables while helping keep the restaurant running. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't perfect. But it was something beautiful…

Indeed, it was. The customers were more than delighted with their meals.

"We enjoyed ourselves…everything was great!"

"I'll be coming back, for sure!"

In addition to great food, such as: (appetizers) crab cake balls; southern fried wings; house salad; and more. Sandwiches include smash burgers; southern fried fish sandwich; fried turkey chop sandwich; and more. Main dishes include honey BBQ glazed chicken; jerk chicken; southern fried chicken wing & fish dinner combo; and more.

Live performances were provided by Harrisburg's notable Stevenson Twins featuring Rose Hudson, and DJ Mateen, adding to an upscale vibe.

Eleve Event Studio is a 4000-sq ft venue, perfect for special events such as private parties, corporate events, weddings and receptions, graduations, and more. Prices start at $5 for appetizers and a kids' menu is available. The establishment serves alcoholic beverages, which is perfect for a rooftop view of the city.

Eleve is open on Wed and Thur 3pm-8pm, Fri and Sat 3pm-10pm, and Sun 1pm-5pm. (Closed Mon and Tue.) Plenty of street parking is readily available.
