Annual art event celebrates artistic achievement and encourages older adults to find creative expression through a wide variety of artistic mediums

ROCKVILLE, Md. - PennZone -- The Village at Rockville–A National Lutheran Community is calling artists ages 60 and over from across the greater Washington, D.C. area to submit their artworks in a wide variety of artistic mediums for exhibit in the community's annual Inspire Your Heart with Art Show. The Inspire Your Heart with Art Show will be held Thursday, October 20 from 5-7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Artworks may be offered for sale at the artists' discretion. Artists who wish to exhibit are encouraged to submit photos no later than October 3 to Melissa Blackstone at mblackstone@thevillageatrockville.org or call 301-354-8466 for more information.

The Inspire Your Heart with Art Show celebrates artistic achievement and demonstrates that the capacity for creative expression is both ageless and timeless. Previous Inspire Your Heart with Art shows at The Village at Rockville featured artworks ranging from colorful stained-glass exhibits to oil and watercolor paintings to fiber, textile and needle artworks including quilted, hand-crocheted, hand-knitted and needlepoint wares.
