Sacred Surrogacy Announces 2026 Retreat Series to Support Surrogates and Egg Donors. Emphasizing Community as a Critical Element of Emotional Well-Being

TORONTO - PennZone -- Sacred Surrogacy Announces National Retreat Series to Support Surrogates and Egg Donors. Emphasizing Community as a Critical Element of Emotional Well-Being

Sacred Surrogacy, a leading support organization for gestational carriers and egg donors, today announced its 2026 Retreat Series, designed to build deep connection, emotional resilience, and community for women at every stage of their journey. This nationwide series offers safe, structured, and nurturing environments where women can rest, reflect, and reconnect, addressing not only the joys of surrogacy, and egg donation but also its emotional complexities.

Retreats will be held across Canada, including:

Jan 31 Saskatoon Pop-Up Women's Circle
April 10–12 Alberta Retreat
June 19–21 Manitoba Retreat
August Nova Scotia Retreat
Oct 2–4 Ontario Retreat
Nov 6–8 British Columbia Retreat

One Day Pop-Up Retreats will be posted monthly.

These gatherings are thoughtfully designed to offer personal renewal, peer connection, and shared experience for those curious about surrogacy, and egg donation, surrogates and donors, including those currently on a journey, as well as alumni participants.

Why Community Matters, and Why These Retreats Are Essential

Surrogacy and egg donation are extraordinary acts of generosity and courage, offering profound meaning and life-changing impact to intended parents. However, women who undertake these journeys often face emotional challenges that are under-recognized, including feelings of isolation, stress, identity shifts, and postnatal mood changes.

In one recent People Magazine feature, a surrogate mom detailed her experience with severe postpartum depression following a successful delivery, emphasizing how overwhelming and unexpected emotional struggles can be, even when the pregnancy and birth were physically successful and fulfilling. Often, these emotional shifts are misunderstood by family and friends, making support harder to find.

Research also underscores the importance of social support for women during pregnancy and postpartum periods, showing that strong community connections are linked with reductions in stress and depressive symptoms and contribute to long-term emotional resilience.

Sacred Surrogacy's retreats acknowledge that supportive community is not simply comforting, it is transformative.

Retreat Experiences Designed for Emotional Well-Being

Each retreat combines structured activities with open spaces for connection and reflection. Participants will experience:
  • Intentional Circles of Sharing, guided discussions where women can speak openly and be met with empathy and understanding.
  • Honouring Rituals, safe, heartfelt ceremonies acknowledging each woman's courage, resilience, and emotional journey.
  • Rest & Renewal-time away from daily responsibilities to breathe, reflect, and recharge.
  • Lifelong Community connections that often extend well beyond the retreat experience.
These elements work together to create supportive environments that help women process emotional complexity, strengthen resilience, and build lifelong bonds.

Supporting Mental Health Beyond the Retreat

Sacred Surrogacy retreats are not a luxury, they are an essential part of holistic emotional care. They serve as spaces for connection, early intervention, and emotional maintenance, especially during periods when women may be most vulnerable.

Participants routinely report:
  • Greater emotional balance
  • Increased confidence and clarity
  • Stronger sense of belonging
  • Improved coping skills for daily life
These outcomes reflect a broader understanding that prenatal and postnatal support isn't solely clinical, it's social and relational. Retreats offer that relational dimension in ways that clinical settings alone cannot replicate.

Who Is Invited

All Sacred Retreats are proudly sponsored by Sacred Surrogacy, Egghelpers, and Canadian Fertility Consultants (CFC) and are intended to be accessible and inclusive.

Retreats are open to:
  • Surrogates at all stages of their journey
  • Those curious about Surrogacy/Egg donation
  • Alumni participants
  • Egg donors from Egg Helpers
No matter where a woman is in her path, whether preparing, recovering, or reflecting—there is a place for her within this community.
