Sometimes sports create memories that extend far beyond the game itself.

YARDLEY, Pa. - PennZone -- The Together We Dance Foundation in collaboration with the Phillies created a truly unforgettable experience for local resident Danny Piccari when he met his favorite player, Kyle Schwarber, during batting practice at Citizens Bank Park.

The special surprise comes at a particularly meaningful time for Danny and his mother, Carol Piccari. The family recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of their dog, making this opportunity to meet Schwarber even more significant. Knowing how much Danny admires the Phillies slugger, the Together We Dance Foundation worked behind the scenes to create a moment that will help lift his spirits and provide a lasting memory for both Danny and his mother.

"Danny embodies everything we love about our Foundation families," said Mike Barnes, Executive Director of the Together We Dance Foundation. "He brings joy wherever he goes, supports everyone around him, and has a genuine love for life. After the difficult week he and Carol have experienced, we wanted to do something special that would put a smile on his face."

Danny, a Bucks County resident known throughout the community for his positive spirit and infectious personality, is a familiar face at Together We Dance Foundation events. A passionate Philadelphia sports fan, Danny proudly cheers for both the Phillies and Eagles and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and the community he loves.

Danny is also a beloved employee at ShopRite on Big Oak Road in Yardley, where many local residents know him by name. In fact, customers often stop by simply to say hello, making him something of a local celebrity in Bucks County. For Danny, the chance to meet Kyle Schwarber is more than just meeting a baseball player. It is the opportunity to connect with one of his heroes and create a memory that he and his family will cherish forever.

The Together We Dance Foundation continues to create life-changing experiences throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities and special needs to enjoy events, build friendships, and make lasting memories. On this special night at Citizens Bank Park, one of those memories will belong to Danny Piccari—a devoted Phillies fan whose dream of meeting Kyle Schwarber is about to become reality.
