PITTSBURGH, March 6, 2025 ~ Kearney and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) have joined forces to launch a groundbreaking educational program aimed at equipping senior business leaders with the necessary knowledge and skills to drive AI transformation in their organizations. The AI Executive Program, announced today, is a three-day immersive experience that combines CMU's renowned expertise in artificial intelligence with Kearney's century-long experience in business consulting.
According to Ben Smith, Chair of Digital & Analytics and Member of the Board of Directors at Kearney, AI has evolved from being a mere technological novelty to a critical driver of competitive advantage in today's rapidly changing business landscape. He believes that this program will fill a crucial gap in executive education by providing a unique perspective on how to use AI to reengineer corporations and create tangible business value while navigating complex technological, operational, and ethical considerations.

The curriculum of the program will be led by distinguished faculty members including Sean Ammirati, Professor of Entrepreneurship; Roni Rosenfeld, Professor of Machine Learning and Computer Science; and Alex John London, K&L Gates Professor of Ethics and Computational Technologies. It will focus on three key areas: strategic AI leadership, disruptive value innovation, and responsible transformation.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend hands-on workshops, visit AI labs to witness robotics innovation in action, engage in discussions with AI pioneers from various industries, and take part in interactive sessions designed to help them move beyond the hype cycle and develop concrete strategies for implementing AI initiatives that deliver measurable business impact. They will also work with the innovative AI Value Catalyst framework to make strategic decisions about AI implementation and value capture.
