Craig La Grappe brings with him a proven track record, having helped build and scale two highly respected firms in the R&D credit space. As Executive Vice President of Business Development, Craig will be responsible for driving the company's revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships and overseeing all other sales-related functions. Craig has successfully delivered millions of dollars in R&D tax credits to his clients over the years, earning their trust and respect through consistent results and a commitment to excellence. His ability to build lasting relationships and close national contracts has been a hallmark of his career. With a powerful national network, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of client needs, Craig is poised to maximize Meritum's future growth.

Adrienne Balfour, an accomplished attorney with an extensive background in civil litigation and tax, brings over a decade and a half of specialized experience in the R&D tax credit industry, including audit defense. She is highly regarded for her deep understanding of R&D credit regulations and her precision in calculating and documenting credits. As Executive Vice President of Operations and General Counsel at Meritum Consulting, Adrienne will oversee client engagement and the overall production process for R&D tax credit claims. Her role will focus on ensuring that all claims comply with the latest tax codes and regulations, minimizing audit risks, and driving the timely delivery of high-quality services.

Kirk Chen, founder of Meritum Consulting, has an extensive background as both an engineer and as an attorney. Throughout his engineering career, he has worked in oil & gas, product development, start-up software development, and the semiconductor industries. As an attorney, his background includes general business, transactional law, immigration, and tax consulting. Kirk serves as Meritum's President and Assistant General Counsel. As a consultant, Kirk has worked with both Craig and Adrienne on numerous R&D projects throughout the years and could not be more excited to have this talented team in place. "Having Craig and Adrienne join forces with me is a huge milestone for our firm," said Chen. "Their expertise, combined with our team's shared history and deep commitment to our clients, sets us up for incredible growth and success in the upcoming years.
