NEW ORLEANS - PennZone -- The second annual Womxn of Color Summit, a virtual wellness and healing summit for women and non-binary people of color, gathered over 350 attendees together for a 6-day exploration on The Art of Authentic Living from February 23-28. Attendees embarked upon a journey of remembrance from the seen to the unseen with 13 summit speakers, 20 workshop facilitators, and 4 care circle guides that delved into how we can remember the true depth of our beingness. From exploring identity politics, befriending the shadow self, watering our roots, showing up as our highest self, integration work, and celebration, the Womxn of Color Summit: The Art of Authentic Living provided a much-needed healing space for Black, Indigenous women and non-binary people of color.

The wellness industry has a diversity and accessibility problem. It can be an unsafe and exclusionary space that creates more harm to women of color on their healing journey. The Womxn of Color Summit redefines what wellness and healing can look like when it is accessible to all.

The Womxn of Color Summit centers the stories and knowledge of women and non-binary people of color, and provides full-ride scholarship summit passes to community. The Summit provided 65% more summit passes to the Art of Authentic Living, compared to the previous year's summit, and did not turn anyone away due to financial circumstances.

"We are honored by the overwhelmingly positive response from our attendees," says Harpinder Mann, Co-Founder and Co-Creator of the Womxn of Color Summit. "We did not know what to expect when we planned for the second annual summit, but the loving support from our attendees has truly affirmed the need for more summits and programming in the future."

The Art of Authentic Living built upon the success of the previous year's summit by providing more opportunities for attendees to connect with each other. The new and improved Soul Buddy Program was introduced as a spiritual matchmaking service, and Care Circles were added to the live event agenda in order to provide attendees with different ways to meet other attendees, either one-on-one or in groups.

"The Womxn of Color Summit is a space for us to explore the intersection between social justice and wellness," says Irene Lo, Co-Founder and Co-Creator of the Womxn of Color Summit. "As women of color, we believe there is no separation between spirituality and social justice. We are creating our own table for any women and non-binary people of color that want to embody their truest potential and live in freedom."

Attendees were given access to more speakers and workshop facilitators in this year's summit for an expansion of educational content and embodied experiences. The live workshop schedule included topics on how capitalism is failing our humanity, self care for your inner child, unpacking identity and dismantling power, navigating our identities as immigrant children, embracing the shadow with breathwork, thetahealing and honoring virtues from our ancestral lineage, an honest exploration of self care, community as mutual aid, experiencing gender euphoria in healing and wellness, and more.
