PHILADELPHIA, May 20, 2025 ~ The Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (IBPPG) has recently announced the winners of the 2025 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, an international awards program that celebrates the achievements of independent authors and publishers. This year marks the 18th anniversary of the awards, which recognize outstanding independently published books in over 80 categories.
The winners and finalists will be honored at a gala on June 27, 2025, at The Notary Hotel in Philadelphia. The event will coincide with the American Library Association Annual Conference and will be livestreamed on Facebook for those unable to attend in person.
The Next Generation Indie Book Awards are judged by leaders in the indie publishing industry, many of whom have extensive experience at major publishing houses. These judges use their expertise and passion for great storytelling to identify books that deserve a wider audience.
This year's Platinum Sponsor is FabJob, with IAP Career College returning as Gold Sponsor. The awards aim to shine a spotlight on independent authors and publishers and help them gain recognition for their hard work. As Co-Chair Catherine Goulet explains, "Like other independent artists, many indie book publishers face challenges that the industry giants don't experience. The indies have to work much harder to get their best books into readers' hands."
