The 60 year old TVS Television Network will expand it's 24/7 streaming TVS Sports Network to cable TV on a barter basis, looking to replace NBCSN. Additionally, the channel will be available to broadcast TV subcarriers.
ESSINGTON, Pa. - PennZone -- TVS Sports Network.Com, the 24/7 streaming ad supported post cable network, will expand to cable TV systems and broadcast digital subcarriers on December 25. TVS will utilize Nextologies to create the cable TV and digital subcarrier platforms to transmit the network.
TVS Television Network is the fourth oldest commercial broadcast TV network in the USA. Founded in 1960, TVS was a major distributor of sports to independent TV stations for several decades prior to the advent of cable TV sports networks.
TVS Sports Network will produce more than 1100 TVS First Look original TV shows in 2021 in anticipation of the TVS Cable Sports Network in December. Roller Derby, Arena Football, Boxing, Bowling, Rodeo, Arm Wrestling, Jai Alai, Ice Skating, Ice Hockey, Weight Lifting, Indoor Soccer, One Club Golf, Darts, Billiards, and Tennis are among the programs being produced.

With the demise of NBCSN, TVS is looking to fill the gap of sports programming by offering the channel to cable TV systems on a no charge, barter basis. TVS has used the barter model for 60 years and has never charged a cable system or TV station for it's programming.
