HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - PennZone -- HUNTSVILLE, AL – Qualis is pleased to announce and welcome Mr. Steven Miley as Vice President of Contracts, reporting to CEO and President Rod Duke.
In his role as Vice President of Contracts, Mr. Miley will be responsible for the initiation, placement, compliance, and life cycle management of all Qualis prime contracts, subcontracts, and partnership agreements. He will work closely with Qualis leadership to formulate contracting and partnership strategies as well as support the business pipeline for new contracting opportunities. Before joining Qualis, Mr. Miley served as Associate Director of NASA's George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, and prior to that he was Marshall's Director of Procurement. He also served as member of the Senior Executive Service in the U.S. Air Force as the Director of Contracting, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in Dayton, Ohio. His leadership responsibilities have spanned such programs as the International Space Station, NASA's commercial microgravity flight program, Space Launch System, NASA's Strategic Capabilities & Assets Program, NASA Headquarters, Institutional Management of NASA's Human Spaceflight Centers, and numerous Air Force PEO contracting programs. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserves, where he served as a Contracting Officer at Defense Logistics Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio, Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and as the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Contracting, at the Pentagon. A recipient of the Presidential Rank Award in 2021, Mr. Miley earned his Certified Professional Contract Management (CPCM) designation early in his career and is certified FAC-C and DAWIA Level III in Contracts.
