ALLENTOWN, Pa. - PennZone -- Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CIS of Eastern PA) (http://www.ciseasternpa.org) honored United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (https://www.unitedwayglv.org/) and inducted three local leaders into its Leadership Circle during the annual Champions for Education celebration, presented by Olympus (https://www.olympusamerica.com/) on Thursday, Oct. 29, at DeSales University Center (https://www.desales.edu/) in Center Valley.

Champions for Education recognizes the individuals and organizations whose leadership, advocacy and partnerships help students overcome barriers and succeed in school and beyond.

"No student succeeds alone," said Tim Mulligan, president and CEO of CIS of Eastern PA.  "Behind every young person who overcomes a challenge is a network of people who believe in them.  Tonight, we celebrate the leaders and partners who help make that support possible for students across our region."
