A soulful contemporary novel blends mature Black love, faith, music, memory, and emotional restraint into an immersive reading and listening experience.

PITTSBURGH - PennZone -- PITTSBURGH, PA: Erica L. Day announces the release of HER, a contemporary Christian second-chance romance about first love, unfinished history, quiet faith, and the music that carries what words could not say.

Set against the emotional backdrop of Pittsburgh, Swissvale, church life, and late-night studio atmosphere, HER follows Liana Branson, a woman who has built a steady life she respects. She is not waiting to be rescued. She is not chasing the past. She has a business, a church community, a disciplined inner life, and a faith that shapes how she moves.

But there is one thing she has never fully explained: the music.

For years, Liana has been drawn to the songs of a private artist known as Smooth. His music feels familiar in a way she cannot name. When Smooth finally steps into public view and turns his attention toward her, Liana is forced to confront a past she thought she had already settled.

The story explores connection, memory, restraint, forgiveness, and the weight of decisions made after prayer rather than pressure. At its center is the tension between a grand romantic gesture and the deeper question of whether a man can become safe enough to believe.

To deepen the experience, HER also includes an original companion album connected to the story world of the novel. Readers can stream the album and download the companion music experience directly from the official website, creating a fuller way to enter Liana and Jaxon's story through both words and sound.

HER is now available in Kindle, paperback and hardcover editions.
