Donation to Support Service Dogs for Individuals with Disabilities

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - PennZone -- The Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star (PA OES) is proud to announce a generous donation of $10,000 to Canine Partners for Life. This donation was made during the 2025 PA OES Puppy Bowl held in Grantville, PA.

The donation will support Canine Partners for Life in their mission to provide service and companion dogs to individuals with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities, and other situations of need, enhancing their quality of life and independence.

Marcia H. Holland, Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star, expressed her gratitude and dedication to this cause: "We are incredibly proud to support Canine Partners for Life. The dedication of everyone involved in this life-changing mission is truly inspiring. This donation reflects the commitment of our members who work tirelessly to make a positive impact in our communities across Pennsylvania."

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest co-ed fraternal organization dedicated to charity, truth, and loving kindness. Our mission is to provide meaningful service to our communities through various charitable initiatives, with a special focus on supporting service dogs. We believe in the transformative power of service dogs and their ability to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities.

The PA OES Puppy Bowl is an annual event that brings together members, staff and volunteers from two Assistance Dogs International (ADI)Certified partners, Canine Partners for Life and Susquehanna Service Dogs, and the community to fundraise and raise awareness for the service dog mission. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of all involved, this year's event was a resounding success.
