Using a combination of hardware and software, a facility can maintain a constant, automated log of all contacts that occur within a set distance and time criteria.  Real-time alerts via a mobile app can support in-the-moment notifications, and historical location data can be used to quickly identify contacts for notification/isolation as needed.

Given local, state, and federal guidance, we know that social distancing and contact tracing are critical components of creating a safer work environment and reducing the spread of coronavirus in the workplace.  According to Marc Chandonnet, Director of Sales and Marketing, "Many RTLS technologies use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), but these technologies are useful for room-level accuracy.  Ultra-wideband technology provides a greater level of granularity and therefore a far more accurate ability to identify potential contact risk."

The ability to alert immediately upon a specified distance/time criteria and log contact events means a business can promote social distancing among its employees, and also perform contact tracing as needed by reviewing historical location data - all without the need for manual intervention.  With the best interests of business owners and employees in mind, we believe that this technology provides a high degree of confidence to reopen safely.
