MBK Senior Living's Pursuit of Excellence Winners
IRVINE, Calif. - PennZone -- MBK Senior Living (MSL) has announced the winners of the first annual Pursuit of Excellence Award.

The Pursuit of Excellence Award was introduced to acknowledge MSL team members who exceeded the reasonable expectations of their jobs. In addition to demonstrating extraordinary customer service, award winners exemplified a strong commitment to the company's pursuit – to be the senior living provider of choice in each market MSL serves.

According to Jeff Fischer, president of MBK Senior Living, more than 125 nominations were received. The seven award recipients were chosen by their peers. This year's recipients included:
  • Keith Andrus, Assistant Controller, MBK Senior Living Home Office, Irvine, California
  • James Cantillon, Activities Assistant, Huntington Terrace in Huntington Beach, California
  • Casey Hawes, Director of Dining, Hacienda Del Rey, Litchfield Park, Arizona
  • Susan Kelln, Concierge, The Firs, Olympia, Washington
  • Julissa Leon, Connections for Living Director, Hacienda Del Rey, Litchfield Park, Arizona
  • Karen Lyons, Executive Assistant, MBK Senior Living Home Office, Irvine, California
  • Dolitah Mpofu, Director of Resident Enrichment, The Commons at Dallas Ranch, Antioch, California

"Each of these individuals embodies the MBK culture and strives for excellence daily," said Fischer. "It's not just the brilliance they bring to their specific role; it's the numerous ways they go above and beyond, delivering timely solutions, collaborating with others, and elevating our customer's experience."

The awards recipients were honored on July 23rd as part of the MSL's leadership retreat. The annual two-day event (held virtually this year) addresses critical business issues, performance goals, and supports the company's rich culture of leadership, and quality care and service.
