FRISCO, Texas - PennZone -- In recognition of National Women in Business Month, Infinity Infusion Solutions (IIS) is launching Women Leading Infusion Care, a campaign honoring nine women from across its member network whose leadership, expertise and commitment are helping shape the future of community-based infusion care.

The campaign marks IIS's 11th year in business and reflects a story shaped by women from the beginning. Founded in 2015 by Tamra Townsend and Katie Ivy, IIS is a women-owned and women-run healthcare company focused on strengthening independent infusion providers and protecting patient access to high-quality care. What began with the vision of two women has grown into a national organization supporting more than 2,700 member infusion sites across all 50 states. Eleven years later, Townsend and Ivy continue to lead IIS with complementary perspectives, a willingness to challenge conventional thinking and a belief that stronger solutions for independent providers can ultimately improve access for patients.

Through Women Leading Infusion Care, IIS is turning the spotlight outward to recognize nine women within its network whose careers demonstrate the many ways leadership can make a difference across healthcare. The featured women represent different roles, specialties and paths, but their stories share common threads: a commitment to patients, the confidence to challenge what can be better, the resilience to navigate change and a willingness to create opportunities for others. Together, their experiences reflect the important role women are playing across independent infusion care as clinicians, entrepreneurs, executives, business owners and advocates.

Throughout National Women in Business Month, IIS will share individual profiles of the nine featured women, highlighting their career journeys, accomplishments, perspectives on leadership, approach to patient-centered care and visions for the future of healthcare. The profiles are designed to share the experiences and perspectives of women who are helping move infusion care forward.

For featured participant Ashley Knapp, RN, BSN, MBA, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Local Infusion, the recognition carries meaning beyond the individual spotlight. "It is an honor to be recognized alongside women who are transforming infusion care, and I hope this spotlight encourages other women to trust their expertise, pursue leadership opportunities and help build the future of healthcare."

The campaign also includes the Women Leading Infusion Care Giving Initiative in support of Women in Medicine® (WIM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in healthcare. In honor of IIS's 11th anniversary and the women featured in the campaign, IIS is contributing $11,000 to support the CME costs for the Women in Medicine® Fellowship and its founding cohort of 15 women physician and healthcare leaders. The partnership with Women in Medicine® gives IIS a way to carry the spirit of the campaign beyond recognition and into professional development for women across healthcare.

Through the Women Leading Infusion Care Giving Initiative, IIS is also inviting its members, partners and the broader infusion community to support Women in Medicine®. The Giving Initiative extends the campaign even further, creating a direct way for others to also support the development and advancement of women across healthcare.
