Independent analyst report highlights Assent's excellence in compliance-ready supplier data and AI-powered screening and monitoring

OTTAWA, Ontario - PennZone -- Assent Inc. (Assent), the global leader in supply chain sustainability management, has been named a Leader by Verdantix in their inaugural Green Quadrant: Product Compliance Software 2025. This report affirms Assent's product strategy, innovation, and momentum in helping manufacturers navigate complex global regulations. Assent achieved the highest scores out of all vendors in Supplier Data Management and Compliance Assurance, and Compliance Analytics and Reporting.

According to Verdantix, Assent also stood out in several key areas that are critical to manufacturers:
  • Automation, ease of use, and strong services for businesses requiring compliance support without heavy customization or IT dependency
  • Strength in product strategy, innovation, financial resources, customer success, and brand preference.
  • Ideal functionality for mid-size and enterprise firms without large compliance teams.
"Verdantix's inaugural Product Compliance Green Quadrant highlights a critical category, and we're honored to be recognized as a Leader," said Michael Southworth, CEO of Assent. "This achievement validates the impact we are delivering for manufacturers by helping compliance teams and their suppliers collect high-quality data, collaborate at scale, and make informed decisions with confidence. We will continue to innovate, invest in our customers' success, and lead the future of product compliance and sustainability with a focus on AI."

The Verdantix Green Quadrant: Product Compliance evaluated 11 product compliance software providers through detailed product demonstrations, a 119-point rubric, and 21 buyer interviews to assess technical capabilities, functional breadth, and market momentum, and to determine market-leading vendors. Analysts also highlighted Assent's managed services team, which extends beyond software and "effectively engages with suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of documentation, non-compliance, and outstanding issues." This recognition builds on Assent's position as a Leader in the independent research and advisory firm's 2024 Green Quadrant for Supply Chain Sustainability.

"As regulations shift and firms expand regional operations, modern product compliance solutions have evolved into platforms that help guide strategic business planning," noted the report, authored by Nathan Goldstein, Senior Manager, Verdantix, with Bill Pennington, VP of Research, Verdantix. "(Assent's) supplier portal – which benefits both compliance teams and suppliers – along with its AI-powered screening and monitoring, and full material disclosures (FMD) risk view, are powerful tools that enable even the smallest compliance teams to stay on top of important tasks."

Verdantix is one of the first independent analyst firms providing this depth of public evaluation in the product compliance space, making the report a significant milestone for both Assent and the industry. Verdantix's recognition comes as product compliance shifts to a strategic driver of product design, supplier management, and enterprise risk. Verdantix is an independent analyst firm that serves a global client base consisting of the world's most innovative corporations, technology and services vendors, and investors.
