A Special Edition of "America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration" Will Air on 28 Hearst Television Stations Across the Country

PLYMOUTH, Mass. - PennZone -- Massachusettes  – Tune into Plymouth's much-anticipated, annual "America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration" (AHTC) parade LIVE on WCVB Channel 5 as well as on www.usathanksgiving.com  and on  the streaming platform, Very Local.



WCVB, Boston's news and community leader, will air exclusive coverage of the parade and its performances on Saturday, November 23 from 10AM-12PM, and on www.usathanksgiving.com!

WCVB EyeOpener anchors Antoinette Antonio and Doug Meehan will host the parade, along with Olly deMacedo, long-time parade Executive Director, and historian Dr. Paul Jehle, Executive Director of the Plymouth Rock Foundation. WCVB anchors Maria Stephanos and Ed Harding, chief meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon, traffic specialist Katie Thompson, meteorologist Mike Wankum, and sports anchor Duke Castiglione will provide color commentary from WCVB's official float.

This year's parade theme is "We Are the World,We Are the Children"  paying tribute to young people around the globe and their potential to positively influence the future.

The festivities kick off at 10AM from historic Plymouth Rock and then will continue around Water Street to Court Street, ending at the corner of Court Street and Nelson Street. More than two dozen elaborately designed and hand-crafted floats will be featured during the parade, including the WCVB float, customized this year with hand-turkeys drawn by local children and teens, as well as a Boston Celtics 18th Championship float, We Are The World Float with over 125 children celebrating unity and the hope of our future!

The parade will highlight 22 custom floats celebrating anniversaries in our nations history,  live performances by musical acts from around the country, including "The Commandant's Own" United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, military bands, re inactors, and high school marching bands from 4 states all in honor of our nation's youth.
