Susan Stone Kristina Supler Win For Damilare Sonoi Kohrman Jackson & Krantz
CLEVELAND - PennZone -- The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has issued its opinion in Sonoiki v. Harvard Univ., determining that Harvard University will have to face litigation for a breach of contract claim brought against the university by former student, Damilare Sonoiki. The opinion issued by the appeals court reverses the previous court dismissal.

KJK Student & Athlete Defense Title IX Attorneys Susan Stone and Kristina Supler represent the plaintiff, Damilare Sonoiki, who filed a multi-count complaint against the university after it denied him a degree in 2013 following last-minute claims of sexual assault.

"We're pleased the Court recognized the contract claim should go forward and we look forward to continuing to fight for Damilare," said Supler.

"Since the very inception of the lawsuit, we have argued that Harvard University's policies failed to meet the reasonable expectations of students," added Stone.

KJK will continue to represent Sonoiki as his case remains in litigation.
