PHILADELPHIA - PennZone -- 🌟 What Is IBOA 3x3?

IBOA 3x3
is a community-based basketball development program that uses the popular 3-on-3 format to promote physical fitness, social responsibility, and educational growth. Endorsed by FIBA, the program adheres to international standards while remaining deeply rooted in local communities across the United States and beyond.

The 3x3 format is fast-paced, accessible, and deeply engaging—making it an ideal tool for connecting with youth, especially in underserved areas where access to sports and mentorship may be limited.

🔍 Why 3x3 Basketball?

Unlike traditional 5-on-5 formats, 3x3 basketball:
  • Requires fewer players and simpler facilities, making it more accessible
  • Offers faster gameplay that improves agility, teamwork, and decision-making
  • Builds stronger player engagement, allowing for more touches and faster learning

FIBA has recognized 3x3 as an Olympic sport, making it a legitimate pathway for athletes to reach the highest levels of competition.
