The Philadelphia-based chef brings his signature plant-based cuisine to a national audience—and now to couples looking for something different on their wedding day

PHILADELPHIA - PennZone -- Philadelphia-based Vegan Chef KESS is gaining national attention following a recent feature on Parade.com highlighting his Great Northern Bean Cajun Soup, a comforting recipe inspired by the vegan homestyle cooking of his mother.

The Parade feature introduces readers to a dish rooted not only in flavor, but also in Chef KESS' childhood and the healthy approach to food that shaped him into the chef he would eventually become.

"My mother was an amazing cook who emphasized healthy vegan lifestyle choices," Chef KESS said. "Because she wanted me to enjoy it too, she made sure each meal was as delectable as possible."

The national feature comes as Chef KESS prepares to expand his culinary brand into a new arena: wedding catering and customized culinary experiences.

From intimate celebrations to elaborate receptions, Chef KESS and his team can develop customized plant-based menus, private tastings, cocktail-hour selections, desserts and vegan interpretations of traditional wedding favorites. Services can be tailored to the couple's vision, event needs and budget.

For couples seeking an even more comprehensive experience, KESS can assemble a team that extends beyond the kitchen. Working alongside a top event designer and a trusted culinary staff available for special engagements, Chef KESS can help couples create an experience in which food, presentation and atmosphere complement one another.

"I want people to have an experience – and I want them talking about that experience long after the last plate has been cleared," he said.

Known for creating plant-based cuisine that challenges traditional perceptions of vegan food, Chef KESS brings that philosophy to weddings and special celebrations. His menus are designed not only for committed plant-based diners, but also for guests who may be experiencing elevated vegan cuisine for the first time.
