PITTSBURGH, Nov. 14, 2024 ~ In the midst of ongoing wars and conflicts, United Nations peacekeepers are facing immense stress and pressure. To address the mental health needs of these brave individuals, the U.N. has turned to Duquesne University's Partnership in Education (PIE) for assistance.

The organization has partnered with the U.N.'s Division of Healthcare Management & Occupational Safety and Health to provide its popular YouTube videos on mindfulness. These videos focus on techniques for calming emotions and managing anxiety, and are now available on the U.N.'s Digital Mental Health Platforms. They will also be accessible to all U.N. Uniformed Personnel worldwide.

Dr. John Pollock, Director of PIE, expressed his excitement about this collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled that the U.N. has selected our videos to assist their personnel, who face difficult and stressful situations daily." He added that one of PIE's goals is to increase health literacy through various resources, and it is an honor to be able to help these courageous individuals who work tirelessly to keep people safe in dangerous places around the world.
