Latest awards announced for the upcoming animation and book series.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - PennZone -- Theodore's Plate, the first script for the planned animation and book series, takes homes a "Best Script - Animation" award from the Show Low Film Festival (Arizona White Mountain Film Festival) from the Pinetop-Lakeside-Show Low event held October 18 – 20, 2024. The award is one of several awards that Theodore's Journey is being recognized for and received over the last year. Theodore's Journey also celebrates the receipt of the "Bronze" Telly Award from their 45th season and highlights the work which is recognized for pushing the boundaries of creativity "Beyond the Frame."

The team behind Theodore's Journey includes Stephen Nebgen, Matt Mazer, and Dr. Michael Cohen.  Stephen Nebgen is the author and creator of the Theodore's Journey series and is well known for being a producer with credits in film, television, theater, and music. Mr. Nebgen is also known for prominent Off-Broadway plays produced in New York City.  In addition, Mr. Nebgen is an entertainment law attorney with 25 years of experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry.

Matt Mazer has been in the media and technology sector for over three decades, holding senior posts in marketing, systems integration, strategic alliances, and operations at a range of companies including: Walt Disney Pictures, De Larentiis Entertainment Group, Goldcrest Films & Television, Sony Corporation of America, and Nest Family Entertainment. As an executive, Mr. Mazer has worked over 50 live-action, documentary, and animated films. His independent family motion picture credits include the evergreen multi-film franchises 'Swan Princess' and 'All Dogs Go to Heaven'. Media brands advised by Mr. Mazer's extensive consulting practice include World Wrestling Entertainment, Dentsu, Sony Music Entertainment (Japan), USA Films, NASCAR, Lowes Theaters, Michael Flatley's 'Fleet of Flames', Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey, Disney on Ice and 'Clifford the Big Red Dog', as well as organizations in the travel, hospitality, automotive, social services, toy, health care, and financial sectors.

Dr. Michael Cohen, PhD, is a psychologist and President of the New York based Michael Cohen Group, LLC who has extensive experience in media-based learning, early childhood education, and more. Dr. Michael Cohen is known for his work with Disney, Children's Television Workshop, LEGO, YouTube, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Onassis Foundation, Turner Broadcasting, the U.S. Department of Education; PBS and the European Commission.

Theodore's Plate - Synopsis:  In the heart of the forest, a poor family dwells in a simple cottage. One Christmas Eve, a Traveler knocks on their door. The Father opens the door to find a man who is battered by snow and chilled by the cold. He invites the Traveler into the cottage and seats him by the roaring fire. What the Father and the Family do not know is that this is a special guest. And that a simple act of generosity will make this the most wonderful Christmas of all!
