UCA Seal of Accreditation Premier Health - First In Urgent Care Joint-Venture
Leading urgent care provider maintains commitment to delivering excellent patient care

BATON ROUGE, La. - PennZone -- After a lengthy evaluation process involving operations in multiple states, Premier Health and its network of urgent care centers have once again earned accreditation through the national Urgent Care Association (UCA). Representing both urgent care accreditation and certification, they are the UCA's stamp of approval for urgent care operators that meet or exceed industry standards for safety, quality, and scope of services.

Accreditation involves a comprehensive assessment of the following areas of urgent care operations:
  • Governance
  • Human Resources
  • Patient Care Processes
  • Physical Environment
  • Quality Improvement
  • Health Record Management
  • Patient Privacy
  • Patient Rights and Responsibilities
CEO Steve Sellars says, "This is a huge accomplishment that would not have been possible without a lot of long hours and hard work on the part of many Premier Health team members. It's also important to remember the inspection process took months to complete and was conducted amid the stress of an ongoing pandemic. I never doubted our providers and staff would rise to the occasion. I'm extremely proud of all those who participated. I'm also beyond happy that Premier Health can once again say, our teams remain fully committed to delivering the highest level of urgent care services to their patients."

In addition to UCA urgent care accreditation and certification, Premier Health was awarded a certification in Occupational Health and a commendation for our ongoing Antibiotic Stewardship efforts. To maintain UCA accreditation, urgent care operators undergo rigorous on-site inspections every three years. Assessments are conducted by independent urgent care professionals from various clinical and administrative specialties.
