Pennsylvania: Administración Wolf: Usen máscaras para proteger y apoyar a las empresas locales

En el día de la fecha, el Gobernador Tom Wolf, el Secretario del Departamento de Desarrollo Comunitario y Económico, Dennis Davin, y el Secretario de Agricultura, Russell Redding, recordaron a los residentes de Pennsylvania que deben usar máscaras mientras compran y comen en restaurantes para proteger y apoyar a nuestras empresas locales.

"El uso de máscaras es mucho más que un requisito. Es una señal de apoyo y respeto hacia nuestras empresas locales", dijo el Gobernador Wolf. "Las empresas de Pennsylvania han hecho importantes sacrificios en los últimos meses y ahora ellos confían en que nosotros, como consumidores, podemos ayudarlos a mantener las puertas abiertas. Usar una máscara protege a todos del virus y muestra respeto y apoyo por las empresas y sus empleados. Ellos usas máscaras todos los días y adoptan otras medidas importantes de salud y seguridad para protegernos y brindarnos los bienes y servicios que necesitamos y queremos".

Todas las empresas que funcionan en persona deben cumplir las pautas de seguridad en edificios y en empresas emitidas por la Secretaria de Salud de Pennsylvania y por los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades (CDC). Específicamente, los trabajadores y los clientes deben usar una máscara cuando trabajan, compran y comen en los restaurantes, y los empleadores deben proporcionar a los trabajadores las máscaras que necesiten. "Pennsylvania está abriendo nuevamente, y con esa libertad viene la responsabilidad. Todos debemos usar máscaras cuando visitamos los restaurantes, salones y tiendas en todo el estado", dijo el Secretario del DCED, Dennis Davin. "Al pedirles a los clientes que usen máscaras, los dueños de negocios de Pennsylvania están dando un paso adelante para garantizar que sus clientes y los empleados se sientan cómodos y seguros. Para que Pennsylvania siga funcionando, debemos trabajar juntos para detener la propagación del coronavirus".

La investigación demuestra que usar una máscara reduce el riesgo de infección de COVID-19, al tiempo que no usar una máscara aumenta en gran medida las posibilidades de que una persona se infecte con este virus contagioso y mortal.

"Queremos que los residentes de Pennsylvania salgan, ya que es importante que nuestra salud mental vuelva a tener un sentido de normalidad. Pero las cosas aún no son normales, y es por eso que deben usar una máscara. Usar una máscara les da libertad y minimiza el riesgo", dijo el Secretario Redding. "Usen una por su comunidad y sus familias. Usen una máscara para que la cara amigable que ven en el mercado de agricultores cada semana siga estando ahí. Y sobre todo, úsenla para que Pennsylvania pueda seguir avanzando".
