New Hope, PA ~ On the seventh and final day of the Great American Getaway RV tour, Governor Josh Shapiro and First Lady Lori Shapiro made a stop in Bucks County to promote the charming communities and small businesses that make Pennsylvania a premier weekend getaway destination. The couple visited Peddler's Village, a 42-acre countryside property in New Hope known for its colonial-style buildings, award-winning gardens, and unique shops and restaurants.

The visit was part of Governor Shapiro's launch of Pennsylvania's new state tourism brand, The Great American Getaway. This brand aims to showcase all that the Commonwealth has to offer as a top weekend getaway destination, with thousands of attractions including major events coming to PA in 2026 such as America's 250th anniversary celebration, the NFL Draft, FIFA World Cup, and MLB All-Star Game.

Joined by Peddler's Village CEO Bob McGowan and Visit Bucks County President Paul Bencivengo, Governor Shapiro and First Lady Shapiro explored the village's main streets and small businesses. They stopped at Mama Hawk's Kitchen & Coffee for some coffee and baked goods before visiting Sticky Situations where they experienced the company's gourmet tasting room and purchased apple syrup and tea. The couple also made a stop at Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn where they bought a variety of popcorn flavors.
