Authors will no longer have to target readers. A book marketing tool will now give readers the power to find books based on their own ideas.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - PennZone -- Rico Sims, 55, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, finds self-publishing to be relatively easy. The same could not be said for marketing his books. So he invented an innovative algorithm and created a webstie to solve the problem.

His new website, Book Strut, blurs the lines between reality and magic. Here a reader can enter 3 ideas for a book—fiction, nonfiction—any ideas that come to mind. For example: Time travel, Sophisticated bank robbery, Teleporting detective. What happens next could change the book industry forever. Watch Now.

Book Strut obviously shows which books are a match for those ideas, but it also shows how well each idea is baked into the book. For example: Sophisticated bank robbery ~ 43.2, Time travel ~ 34, Teleporting detective ~ 22.8. But how accurate is this, and how is this even possible, especially since the site doesn't scan or allow the uploading of books?

The author or publisher assigns and ranks the 3 main ideas covered in the book. The order of ideas entered, whether by reader or author, is critical. The author would know which ideas are most prominent in the book; readers would know what is important to them. Together they are the arbiters of accuracy and possibility. The site uses AI semantic search (this integration is currently in progress), so the intent and meaning are understood even when the words do not match.

Book Strut's proprietary system simply uses a formula to make sense of what the reader wants and what the author is offering. This could be a game-changer in the industry. A new author could get ranked higher than one with a popular name if the ideas in her book are a better match for the reader. No need to target readers anymore; they can now think even an unknown author's debut book into existence. They can even make it a bestseller overnight.

Book Strut is free for readers and no login is required, but a free membership offers more features for the reader. Authors and publishers can join and list one title for free, but a paid subscription allows additional listings and analytics. Paid subscription prices start at $5.99 monthly, and a book is marketed every time a reader thinks it up. Compare that to an email blast which costs anywhere from $18 to $2,400 for a single book and for a single day.

Authors and publishers of English titles only can visit https://bookstrut.com and start listing titles today. The site will launch worldwide to readers on August 1, 2025.
