MONROEVILLE, Pa. - PennZone -- When patients come in with bruxism, a condition related to TMJ disorder, Dr. Edward Halusic can now treat them with mouthguards. Bruxism is a condition that is caused by people grinding their teeth at night. If left untreated, it can advance to more complicated conditions of TMJ disorder. TMJ disorder is a condition that impacts the muscles which support a patient's jaw, causing them to have mild to severe pain.

Mouthguards are able to help protect a patient's teeth against bruxism and prevent it from advancing to more severe stages of TMJ disorder.
