WILMINGTON, Mass., Dec. 5, 2024 ~ GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, has reached a significant milestone in its partnership with Locus Robotics. The market leader in warehouse automation announced today that GEODIS has successfully picked over 10 million units using Locus's powerful automation solution at its distribution center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
This achievement highlights the transformative impact of Locus's technology on productivity, operational efficiency, and flexibility at an unprecedented scale. As Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics, stated, "As a trusted collaborator for more than six years, GEODIS is setting new standards for speed and efficiency within its facilities." He also emphasized how the Locus solution not only increases productivity but also improves workplace ergonomics and employee safety by making it easier for workers to do their jobs with robotics automation.
The partnership between GEODIS and Locus Robotics began in 2018 and has since resulted in over 100 million units being picked across all of GEODIS' operations worldwide. The Carlisle distribution facility, which covers 575,000 square feet, manages omnichannel consumer order fulfillment for a major global electronics company in the Midwest and Eastern United States.

Kevin Stock, Executive Vice President of Engineering at GEODIS Americas, highlighted the importance of warehouse efficiency during peak shipping seasons like the holidays. He stated that "warehouse automation brings incredible value to helping us navigate the challenge of managing increased volumes all year long." Stock also praised Locus Robotics' AI-driven automation for complementing their teammates and significantly increasing productivity levels throughout their global operations.
This milestone comes as part of an expanded agreement between the two companies signed in 2022. Under this agreement, a total of 1,000 LocusBots will be deployed at GEODIS' warehouse locations worldwide. This deal represents one of the largest autonomous mobile robot deals in the industry to date.
