TJM & Co. Media Boutique awards Yes Girls Create Inc. with four months of pro bono PR to expand service to young girls in their community.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - PennZone -- Brooklyn-based public relations agency TJM & Co. Media Boutique(TJM & Co.) announced that Yes Girls Create, Inc.(YGC) is the inaugural winner of The Social Good PRoject annual service grant. A part of TJM & Co.'s corporate social responsibility initiatives, The Social Good PRoject provides a nonprofit organization or certified B-Corp small business with four months of pro bono public relations services. After several rounds of judging, the winner emerged as Yes Girls Create Inc., a nonprofit youth mentorship organization dedicated to uniting girls 8 - 18 through creative, collaborative events.

"You will often hear people say that they love what they do so much that they would do it for free if they could. The Social Good PRoject is my way of doing what I love for free," says Tiffany Joy Murchison, TJM & Co. CEO and one of Crain's New York 2023 Most Notable Leaders in Advertising, Marketing, and PR. "Purpose is our company culture; you cannot have purpose without giving back and paying it forward. As a Black woman entrepreneur, I am excited to pour into an organization that is pouring into the next generation of women leaders."

The timing of the Social Good PRoject allows the winning organization to capitalize on expanding its brand awareness throughout the holiday season when giving and philanthropic initiatives are at their peak. The public relations service period will run from September 1st through December 31st, focusing on Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, when the public is encouraged to unleash their generosity.

Yes Girls Create Inc. was the judges' favorite out of 18 initial applicants and six finalists, announced this past weekend via TJM & Co.'s social media accounts. The five runner-ups, Craig D. Butler Scholarship Fund, Women's Empowerment Coalition of NYC, Bloom Empowerment, Heart, Body & Soul, and the Nubian Conservatory of Music, will not walk away empty-handed. Each will receive a free copy of PRY Until…The small business owner's guide to DIY public relations until you're ready to hire a pro, written by TJM & Co. CEO Tiffany Joy Murchison. Urban Magazine, The Social Good PRoject's media partner, will highlight all finalists in Urban Magazine Online. Also, the finalists will have a six-month window to take advantage of PR coaching services from TJM & Co. at a discounted rate.

"Yes Girls Create Inc. applied for the Social Good PRroject to positively impact society, particularly for girls ages 8-18. The four months of pro bono public relations service is a game-changer for our women-led organization. This opportunity will amplify our message, attract more significant resources and partnerships, and inspire young girls through creative mentorship," says Therese Myers, Founder & CEO. "The knowledge gained from working with the TJM & Co. team will equip YGC with effective communication and media engagement tactics, ensuring sustainable support and awareness for our cause even after the project ends. This opportunity aligns perfectly with our mission and fills us with purpose. Being awarded this opportunity to advance the mission of YGC leads me to the quote which sits on my heart daily - You are exactly where you are supposed to be in life."
