LCDA Welcomes its New 2025-2027 Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2024 ~ The Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) and its foundation, the Latino Corporate Directors Education Foundation (LCDEF), have announced their newest group of leaders for their Boards of Directors for the 2025-2027 term. This is the largest group of leaders to join the boards, and they are expected to drive and accelerate the mission forward to develop, support, and increase Latino representation in corporate governance.

Jose R. Rodriguez, former Partner in Charge and Executive Director of the Audit Committee Institute at KPMG LLP (US), has been elected as the Chair for LCDA. In a statement, Rodriguez expressed his deep honor in taking on this role and working with such an accomplished group of directors and leaders. He also emphasized their collective goal to elevate the mission of LCDA and ensure that more Latino voices are represented on corporate boards across the nation.

Rodriguez will be joined by a team of new officers who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Ana Dutra, CEO of Mandala Group Advisors, will serve as First Vice Chair while Adis Vila, President & Founder of Vila & Associates, will serve as Second Vice Chair. Pedro DeJesus, Head of International Business and EVP at Tampico Beverages Inc., will take on the role of Treasurer while Cynthia Comparin, Founder/Former CEO of Animato Technologies, will serve as Secretary.

The LCDEF board also welcomes new officers including Co-Chair Ana Dutra and Co-Chair/Treasurer Pedro DeJesus. Susan Angele, Senior Advisor at KPMG Board Leadership Center in KPMG US, will serve as Secretary.

In addition to these new officers, LCDA is excited to welcome a diverse group of new directors who bring a range of skills and experiences to the table. Odilon Almeida, former President & CEO of ACI Worldwide; Romulo "Romy" Diaz Jr., former General Counsel-PECO Energy at Exelon Corp.; Tony Heredia, SVP/Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Target Corp.; Miriam Hernandez-Kakol, former Global Head-Management Consulting at KPMG US LLP; Veronica Hinojosa Segura, Associate Vice Chancellor at The University of Texas System; Marcela Manjarrez, CEO of M Strategic Communications; and Carlos Quezada, Vice Chairman & CEO of Carriage Services Inc., will all join the LCDA board.

The LCDEF board will also welcome new directors including Eduardo Arriola, former Chairman & CEO of Apollo Bank; Julio C. Barrionuevo, former SVP-Operations-Latin America & CFO-International at FedEx; Isaura Gaeta, former Vice President of Security Research-Product Assurance & Security Engineering at Intel Corp.; Claudia Marmolejo, Senior Managing Director and Head of Business Development at IQ-EQ; Nelly Molina, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at California Resources Corporation; Eddie Ramos, former Global Chief Investment Officer at Cornerstone Capital Management; and Brandon Torres Declet, Chairman & CEO of Unusual Machines Inc.

These new members will join the existing board members in their efforts to develop and support Latino representation in corporate governance. The outgoing Chair Elizabeth Oliver-Farrow and all current board members were also recognized for their invaluable contributions in paving the way for the continued growth and impact of LCDA.
