NEW YORK - PennZone -- LaDàna, Principal Consultant at Above Prestige Public Relations and in-house Director of Communications for Caribbean Cargo DC, is thrilled to announce her participation in the Next Big Star Competition for the 2024 Caribbean Music Awards. This prestigious competition offers her the opportunity to secure votes and potentially become the 2024 Presenter at the Caribbean Music Awards, set to take place on August 29, 2024, at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY.
The Next Big Star Competition is a unique platform that allows participants to engage with their supporters through voting packages. These packages not only help secure votes but also contribute to a noble cause. Her participation will support Music Brings Life (MBL), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people in Black, Latino, and Caribbean communities about the importance of donating blood. MBL aims to raise 10,000 pints of Genotypic Blood for patients with Sickle Cell, Beta Thalassemia, and blood transfused dependency patients in New York City.

"I am honored to be part of the Next Big Star Competition, which not only gives me a chance to secure votes but also supports a cause close to my heart," said LaDàna. "The voting packages offer a fantastic way for my supporters to get involved, and knowing that some of the proceeds will benefit Music Brings Life makes it even more special."
In addition to her professional achievements, LaDàna has a personal connection to the cause. "I always thought I couldn't donate blood due to being diagnosed with sickle cell trait," she shared. "However, learning about the importance of diverse blood donations and the impact it can have on patients with conditions like Sickle Cell has been eye-opening. I am proud to support Music Brings Life in their mission to educate and inspire others to donate blood."
The Caribbean Music Awards is a grand celebration of the best in Caribbean music, entertainment, and culture. The event will feature performances by top Caribbean artists as well as recognize producers, and industry professionals who have made significant contributions to the Caribbean music scene. This year's event will be hosted by the legendary Wyclef Jean and will include co-hosts such as Spice, the renowned Jamaican dancehall deejay and singer.
