Joe Costello joins Amida Board of Directors Amida Technology Solutions, Inc.
WASHINGTON - PennZone -- Amida Technology Solutions, Inc., a DC-based company focused on information security and data management, today announced that EDA-industry icon Joe Costello joined the company as a member of the Board of Directors. Costello brings over thirty years of experience leading software development efforts in a broad range of companies.

From 1987 through 1998, Joe Costello led Cadence Design Systems to be the number one company in the Electronic Design Automation market. He grew the company from $10M in revenue to nearly $1B, which made it one of the ten largest software companies in the world. In 1997, Chief Executive Magazine named Costello the top-performing CEO of all publicly traded companies in North America. During this time, he also served on the boards of public companies including Oracle, Macromedia (Adobe), and Mercury Interactive.

"I am thrilled and honored to be joining the star studded Amida board to help guide the company to the next level of success. Their excellent technology platforms and sterling industry reputation are rare and attractive," Costello said. "Our next step is to bring their approach to an even broader set of customers. What they do makes our country safer, and healthier."

Costello has served as a board member and advisor for dozens of early technology companies and stepped in as CEO at several of them. He also currently serves as Chairman of three companies: Metrics Design Automation, Kwikbit, and Arrikto.

"We are incredibly honored that Joe Costello has agreed to join our board of directors," said Peter L. Levin, co-founder and CEO of Amida. "His insights and his leadership will turbo-charge our growth, and he is a joy to work with.  I am so grateful he agreed to be part of our team."
