Grundfos' revenue exceeded USD five billion in 2024, and with the inclusion of Newterra, their water treatment business will have over 1,500 highly skilled employees across Europe and North America. Their revenues are expected to surpass USD 350 million. Delobelle emphasized that building a strong water treatment business is crucial in today's world where responsible management of water resources is more critical than ever.
The acquisition of Newterra is just one of several strategic acquisitions made by Grundfos since 2020 to establish a robust water treatment platform. The company plans to continue strengthening this business segment further. Additionally, they aim to double their US business by 2030 and have recently announced plans for a new production plant in Brookshire, Texas.
Newterra was previously owned by Frontenac, a private equity firm based in Chicago. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed by Grundfos.
Delobelle expressed excitement about welcoming Newterra's dedicated employees who share their passion for innovation and customer focus. She believes that together, they can create sustainable solutions to the world's water and climate challenges. With this acquisition, Grundfos is well-positioned to continue its growth and make a significant impact in the water treatment industry.
