ANDREW MANDOLENE, PINK POINTE, ACRYLIC ON CANVAS Object Culture
Preview our latest exhibition in conjunction with Fourth Friday, Perez Art District's monthly Art Walk featuring over 30 art galleries, art studios, and shops. The opening reception for this exhibition will be on Friday, November 24 from 4-7pm. The exhibition will continue through December 22, 2023.

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. & PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - PennZone -- We are delighted to present our second exhibition featuring California artist Andrew Mandolene.

This exhibition features a comprehensive display of Andrew's more recent works, featuring 9 new acrylic paintings in addition to several others from our collection. Andrew's style is bold, colorful, and modern with reverence to abstract artists of the Mid-Twentieth Century such as Karl Benjamin, Frederick Hammersley and Lorser Feitelson.

A style of Geometric Abstraction, Hard Edge Painting was popularized in California beginning in the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s, and this influence certainly can be seen in Andrew's work, although he has carefully defined his own style and brings a modern interpretation to his pieces.

We invite you to stop by and see the work of this exciting artist, premiering November 24, 2023 and ongoing through December 22, 2023.

About Andrew Mandolene

Andrew Mandolene is one of those rare talents, who hadn't picked up a paint brush in 40 years since graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After a successful career as an Art Director, he determinedly took to the canvas in 2020 as though he had been painting for years developing a style that he felt certain defined him as a unique artist.

Mandolene's style of painting evolves from his sensibility of scale, form and color. The tension felt in his compositions combined with that strong color sense keeps him up at night with excitement.

His creative space is shared in a Palm Springs warehouse with his other passion...classic car collecting, often utilizing the trunk deck lid of his favorite Mercedes Benz.
