Workday Showcases Technology Leadership at Grace Hopper Celebration 2024 with 50 Delegates and Five Speakers

PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 3, 2024 ~ Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) has announced its sponsorship of the Grace Hopper Celebration 2024 (GHC), the world's largest gathering of women and nonbinary technologists. As a leading provider of solutions for managing people and money, Workday is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the tech industry.

The event, which will take place virtually and in person in Philadelphia from October 8-11, provides a platform for women and nonbinary technologists to connect, collaborate, and empower each other. Workday will have a strong presence at GHC 24 with fifty delegates and five speakers participating in innovation sessions.

In addition to its participation in various sessions, Workday will also be hosting the AI/ML and Cloud Computing Reception on October 9 at the Marriott Downtown Philadelphia at 5:30pm ET. This reception will provide an opportunity for attendees to network and learn more about Workday's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Kathy Pham, Vice President of AI at Workday, expressed the company's dedication to fostering a more inclusive tech industry through their sponsorship of GHC 24. "We stand alongside Grace Hopper Celebration and AnitaB.org in championing diversity," said Pham. "We're proud to help empower the voices of women and nonbinary technologists – this week, and beyond."

Workday representatives will be featured in several sessions throughout the event. On October 9th at 10:45am ET and October 10th at 10:00am ET, Vice President of AI Kathy Pham will join Nhung Ho from Intuit, Chip Huyen from Voltron Data, and Shruti Koparkar from Amazon Web Services for a panel discussion titled "From Spark To Scale: The AI Product Journey Through Different Lenses."

On October 10th at 1:00pm ET, Principal Software Engineers Seema Gupta and Priyanka Bhalerao will present on "Accelerating Data Analytics With Vectorized Query Engine." And on October 10th at 3:35pm ET, Manager of Accessibility Product Team Tierre Daniels and Senior Product Manager of Accessibility Sim Sidhu will discuss "Tech Spaces and VPAT: How I Built Programs to Support Accessibility."

The final session featuring Workday representatives will be on October 11th from 12:30pm-1:30pm ET, where Principal Engineer Awalin Sopan, Chief of Staff to CPTO Reshma Shahabuddin, and Senior Program Manager Regulatory Compliance Anika Sharin will share their insights on "Strategic Impact With OKRs and KPIs: Empowering Women for Organizational and Personal Success."

Workday's sponsorship of GHC 24 highlights their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the tech industry. By participating in this event, they hope to inspire and empower women and nonbinary technologists to reach their full potential.
