More than 50 employees volunteer to give back to their communities

CENTRAL, Hong Kong - PennZone -- Samuel Freshfields, a next generation investment company that aims to give its clients access to a broad range of financial instruments, promoting the highest standards of integrity, responsibility, and competence to produce a highly personalized counseling process, is pleased to announce the beginning of its annual Week of Volunteering.

More than 50 Samuel Freshfields' employees will participate in a range of diverse, community-based projects around the Asia Pacific Region. The effort is part of the year-round global volunteering initiative organized by the Samuel Freshfields' Foundation, which was established to support organizations operating within the firm's communities.

The annual Week of Volunteering and other Samuel Freshfields Foundation sponsored events aim to bring together company employees, their families and friends to help empower some of the world's most vulnerable populations to reach their full potential. This year, all Samuel Freshfields offices around Asia will hold events.

"The spirit of volunteering is intrinsic to the Samuel-Freshfields.com' culture," said Patrick Lim, Samuel Freshfields' Chief Executive Officer and President of the Samuel Freshfields Foundation. "Employees want to give back to their communities and the annual Week of Volunteering gives us the opportunity to partner with local organizations to help empower those most in need", he added.

The Week of Volunteering activities include:
  • Visiting a Children's Home to engage mentally disabled children and teenagers in an arts project
  • Facilitating a workshop to provide unemployed adults with training to get back into the workforce
  • Making enhancements at a children's playground
  • Presenting an interview skills workshop to military veterans
  • Coaching students on their business plans with Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship
  • Assisting diabetic patients with glycemic tests
  • Engaging seniors at a daytime center for elderly individuals supported by low-income families
