The upper lip is turned out, showing more of the pink part of the lip (vermillion), emphasizing the lip's peaks (cupid's bow) and exposing more of the teeth for a subtly sensual result. Tiny, carefully placed sutures result in a barely noticeable scar. Dr. Flint wanted to offer lip lift surgery as an alternative to fillers because it creates a more natural-looking result and is more permanent while also being a quick, in-office procedure.
