WHITEHOUSE, N.J. - PennZone -- Policy vs Politics is excited to announce the onboarding of its new cohort of summer research interns. This diverse group of young undergraduate and graduate scholars, hailing from universities across the country, will contribute to Policy vs Politics' mission of providing fact-first policy content to the American public, students, and policymakers.

The internship program at Policy vs Politics is designed to offer students a unique opportunity to research and contribute to our policy education programs. Interns will work closely with our expert research team to gain hands-on experience in policy research, data analysis, and content publication. The collection of materials researched by students undergoes rigorous review and refinement by subject matter experts and political science professors Dr. William Bianco, Dr. Nicholas Clark and Dr. Robert Holahan.

Dr. William Bianco has held tenured positions at Indiana, Pennsylvania State University, and Duke University, and visiting positions at Harvard University, Stanford University, and The Brookings Institution. His current research centers on American Politics and legislative institutions, in particular, a study of political influence on innovation and scientific research. He is the author of Trust: Representatives and Constituents, as well as numerous scholarly articles.

Dr. Robert Holahan (Content Lead) is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Faculty-in-Residence of the Dickinson Research Team (DiRT) at Binghamton University (SUNY). He holds a PhD in Political Science in 2011 from Indiana University-Bloomington, where his advisor was Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom. Dr. Nick Clark (Content Lead) is a Professor of Political Science at Susquehanna University, where he is also a Department Head in Political Science and Director of the Public Policy Program and the Innovation Center. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University and researches political institutions, European politics, and the politics of economic policy.

Throughout the summer, interns will be involved in various initiatives, including the Policy Brief Library and the Policy Education Program. They will be conducting in-depth research on current policy issues, gathering data, and creating source-cited data reports to support the publication of concise and informative policy briefs that highlight key findings on a wide variety of policy issues.

By the end of the program, they will have developed valuable skills and insights that will prepare them for successful careers in public policy, academia, and beyond.

"Interns are the foundation of our research effort. We have been fortunate to find so many smart, dedicated, careful undergraduates who believe in what we are working to do—deliver facts-based analyses of contemporary policy issues. We could not do it without them, and we are very grateful," says Dr. William Bianco.
