LANCASTER, Pa. - PennZone -- MoMojo Records is proud to announce the signing of Tom Sykes and October 13 digital release of his third album, A Long Hard Road. Born in Virginia, Sykes was discovered and nurtured by none other than the legendary John Hammond, one of the most important figures in 20th century popular music, responsible for launching the careers of such music idols as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Aretha Franklin, among others. Mr. Hammond was one of the very early inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
A veteran of the entertainment industry, his background includes work with companies such as Warner, Showtime Networks, Sundance, Turner Broadcasting, Vestron and Embassy, as well as owning successful independent companies distributed through Universal. Sykes is now enjoying the opportunity for renewed focus on making and sharing his music and also his story. A Long Hard Road is a celebration of experience, created with some of the most talented musicians of a generation, including GRAMMY winners Kevin McKendree and Tony Braunagel, GRAMMY nominee Teresa James and award-winning producer Terry Wilson. The album embodies a theme which speaks to the heart of every listener: the search. Sykes creates levels of connection and layers of truth, the foundation upon which all landmark albums are built. It has been awarded a bronze medal (rock) in the Global Music Awards. He is also creating an accompanying documentary series, consisting of short videos which will complement each track on the album, in a multi-sensory approach to sharing his truth.

"It is truly a joy to have the opportunity to work with someone of Tom's undeniable artistic ability who also has a very clear and realistic understanding of the business side of music," says MoMojo Records President, Sallie Bengtson. "If a man is known by the company he keeps, one look at his album credits speaks volumes, and the musical result is sublime."
"I feel so fortunate to work with a company that cares as much about the growth of artists and music as MoMojo Records," says Sykes.
