SAN DIEGO - PennZone -- Originally from St. Louis and now residing in San Diego, Michael began singing at age five, standing on a box in church so the congregation could both see and hear the young child carrying what many described as an "old anointing." He opened shows for Gospel and R&B legends including Rev. James Cleveland, Gerald Albright, Billy Davis Jr., and members of the O'Jays, including the late Bill "Pops" Isles II, his former manager and mentor. Today, Michael honors that legacy with new releases that echo faith, hope, and the enduring power of song.

On June 30, 2025, Michael released his stirring rendition of "A Prayer of Peace," originally recorded by The O'Jays.
