HARRISBURG, Pa. - PennZone -- The highly anticipated Weekender Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of bachata duo, Liza + Willie to the lineup for this year's Weekender Block Party in partnership with The Harrisburg Housing Authority, Levels Ready Entertainment, Hilton UPMC, Giant, Dauphin County Commissioners, and UPMC, August 9, 2024, at Hall Manor Activity Field, 100 Hall Manor PL, Harrisburg, PA. 17104.

Liza + Willie will share their love story and belt out classics fusing "merengue to add a bit of color to covers giving their performance a Sade-type feel," which are deeply rooted in their culture said Liza + Willie.

"This is the reason people are calling The Weekender Festival the hottest ticket in town and that is in no small part due to the addition of Liza & Willie. We can't wait to see them light up the stage with their infectious energy," said Oche Bridgeford, Director of Communications and Compliance for the Harrisburg Housing Authority.

In addition to Liza + Willie bringing their Latin rhythms to the stage, neo-blues singer-songwriter AJ Ghent and His Singing Guitar, R&B songstress Kennedy Ryon, and a host of others will perform on The Weekender stage.

Festival producers have gradually rolled out the roster for The Weekender to ensure the festival's diverse offerings are palatable for the Harrisburg community and surrounding districts.

In addition to the Block Party, the festival will include The NetWorth Summit which includes programming on networking, finance, careers, entrepreneurship which empowers attendees with knowledge that allows them to elevate their lives. The NetWorth Summit will take place August 10, 2024, and will be held at Foose Elementary School 1301 Sycamore St, Harrisburg, PA .17104 with a special guest speaker to be announced soon.
