ALLENTOWN, Pa. - PennZone -- Grace Montessori School received $30,000 from the Frank E. and Seba B. Payne Foundation and $12,000 from the Harry C. Trexler Trust. The grants will support access to Montessori education and student scholarship opportunities, ensuring children who might otherwise be unable to attend can fully participate in Grace Montessori School's programs and learning environment.

"At Grace Montessori School, every scholarship represents a child who is seen, supported and given the opportunity to thrive," said Radhika Hoshing, director of Grace Montessori School. "We are incredibly grateful to the Payne Foundation and the Trexler Trust for standing with us in this work. Their generosity helps ensure that Montessori education remains accessible to families across our community."

The grant from the Frank E. and Seba B. Payne Foundation supported Grace Montessori School's Closing the Achievement Gap Program, which offers scholarship funds to assist enrollment for children from low-income families. For more than 20 years, the Payne Foundation has supported Grace Montessori School through scholarships and operational funding.

The Harry C. Trexler Trust grant supported scholarship assistance for children from low-income families in Allentown. The Trexler Trust, which has operated for more than 90 years, has awarded more than $185 million in funding to Allentown parks and Lehigh County charitable organizations serving children, older adults and individuals in need in education, social services and the arts. For nearly 30 years, the trust has supported Grace Montessori School's scholarship programs and school initiatives.

"Every scholarship story is a family story," said Diane Cimorelli, business director at Grace Montessori School. "It means a parent choosing a school they thought might be out of reach, and a child stepping into a classroom where they are encouraged to grow at their own pace. That is the real impact of this support."

Through a combination of foundation grants, Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) allocations, fundraising events, and individual donors, Grace Montessori School continues to provide high-quality Montessori education to children coming from diverse economic backgrounds. To date, Grace Montessori School has awarded more than $2.5 million in scholarships to hundreds of families in the Lehigh Valley.
